Welcome to my blog. A few years ago, I was asked by my sister to make some patchwork quilts for her children. We sat and cut out each square and lovingly placed them piece by piece onto the floor to create the perfect design for the quilts - a boys quilt and a girls. Once completed, the beautiful quilts caught the eyes of some of my sisters friends and I began making the quilts for their children also. The range soon grew from patchwork quilts to beaded handbags, tote bags, boys and girls aprons and bunting flags. This fledgling little sweatshop needed a name and was proudly called 'knickerbocker' - in memory of the knickerbocker's my mum had sewn for me as a tot. My wares can be purchased online at Rachael Zelensky's website or at a fabulous monthly market called the Designer's Emporium.
